In a rare interview with UK's The Mirror, Chris Brown opened up about his relationship with Rihanna, revealing that he's so in love with her now that their back together, but it took a lot of work to get where they are.

Addressing their 2009 altercation, Chris revealed "That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. "But she loves me – what can I say? I'm forgiven... but, yes, I worked hard for it."

Chris also talked about how his life has changed and how much his support system and fans have helped him.

"I've learned a lot since that night and I've grown up. I was very young and I took a lot of stuff, fame, for granted. I didn't understand it. The support from those who do know me and the fans, who are incredible, got me through."

Chris also understands that his reunion with Rihanna is drawing criticism, but it doesn't seem to bother him because he says people "don't know me, and they don't know us. It doesn't bother me any more. Other people can judge us but they don't know anything."
