The Chicago attorney accused of murdering former NBA player Eddy Curry's ex-girlfriend and infant daughter has been found guilty, according to the New York Post.

Fredrick Goings was convicted on Tuesday in the January 2009 shooting deaths of 24-year-old Nova Henry and her and Curry's 10-month-old daughter, Ava.

Goings once represented Henry in a child custody case against Curry, who once played for the Bulls, Knicks and Miami Heat. Prosecutors say Henry tried to end her relationship with Goings and moved out with her and Curry's two kids.

They say Goings shot Henry in her home while she was holding the Ava. Her and Curry's 3-year-old son was also in the home but was not harmed.

Yolan Henry, Nova's mother, expressed her relief at the conviction. "I'm feeling elated. I can breathe," she said. "I feel justice has been served."
