The Rebel Diaz Arts Collective, a Hip Hop community center in the South Bronx, is reaching out to the community in an even bigger way. In addition to providing educational workshops for the area youth, the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective is planning on opening a community library based around Hip Hop and activism.

The library will be called the Richie Perez Radical Library, named after a South Bronx activist who passed on in 2004. The library will feature donated books from all around the US.

"I tell them, 'The more you read, the iller you'll be as an emcee," shared Rodrigo "Rodstarz" Venegas of the Rebel Diaz rap trio. This coming Sunday, the collective is planning a concert to raise money for the library.
