NFL legend Barry Sanders touched down in New Orleans on Thursday night to join in the Super Bowl festivities. TMZ caught up with Sanders not long after he landed to ask him his opinions on gay players in the NFL, specifically if they cause a problem.

Sanders answered, "I don't know that there haven't been MANY gay players in the past."

Sanders went on to say that he thinks gay players should be open about their sexuality, but at the same time, they need to be ready to receive some teasing.

"In a locker room you get teased for anything," Barry added. "If somebody comes out, they're gonna get teased, but they need to have thick skin and go on about their life."
