Kendrick Lamar's debut album "good kid m.A.A.d. city" landed at the number two spot on Time's list. They even spoke very highly of the West Coast rap newcomer, saying Kendrick is "the most promising artist in hip-hop".

Frank Ocean, who has had an up and down year, saw his "Channel Orange" album land one spot behind Lamar at the number three spot. Azealia Banks' "1991 EP" came in at the number nine slot followed by Killer Mike's "R.A.P. Music" LP at number 10.
