Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh can breathe a sigh of relief as he emerged victorious in his custody battle with his ex-girlfriend over their 3-year-old daughter. An Orlando judge sided with the Heat power forward as he was officially ruled a resident of Texas instead of Florida. This is crucial to Bosh, because he's currently paying $2,600 a month in child support as a Texas resident. If the judge had ruled that he was a resident of Florida, he'd be looking at $30,000 a month over the next 15 years.

Chris, who is a Dallas native, is currently married to Adrienne Bosh whom he has an infant daughter with. His custody battle with his ex-girlfriend, Allison Mathis, occurred for three years going back to when he was a member of the Toronto Raptors. Mathis' attorney, Jane Carey, was highly upset about the court's ruling and let her feelings be known in a statement.

"Everybody knows that Texas is rough on horses and women," Carey said. "Now, I guess that any young man in Florida who makes big money should get a Texas address before they have a baby. They'll save a lot of money that way."
