After christening the Barclays Center in September and October for the opening of the new arena, Jay-Z will be looking to close out the year in similar fashion. He recently announced that he, along with popular rock band Coldplay, will be taking the stage at the Brooklyn arena for a New Years Eve performance.

The New Year's Eve concert will mark Coldplay's first U.S. performance since 2005 and will come before the British band's final two shows in the United States. The band is also looking to take a break from performing, as it was previously reported that Coldplay would be going on a hiatus until 2014.

Jay-Z and Coldplay have shared the stage on numerous occasions; the latest coming earlier this year when they performed at the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony in London. Though Coldplay will be taking a well-deserved break, they'll still be releasing their album "Live 2012" on November 19th.

Tickets to this upcoming concert go on sale this Saturday, November 17th at 10 a.m. Will you be attending?
