Kanye West and Kim Kardashian began dating earlier this year, but it seems as if Yeezy had his eye on Kim for some time before they got together. According to TMZ, portions of Kanye's verse on the 2009 Keri Hilson song "Knock You Down", in which he was featured alongside Ne-Yo, were in reference to his current girlfriend. It is said that Kanye had to indirectly refer to Kim in the song with subliminal lyrics because she was still dating NFL star Reggie Bush at the time.

The main reference in Kanye's verse goes: "You was always the cheerleader of my dreams / To seem to only date the head of football teams / And I was the class clown that always kept you laughing / We were never meant to be, baby we just happened." Later on in the song, Kanye also rapped "You should leave your boyfriend now."

Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush did call it quits back in 2010 and Kanye finally got the chance to be with the woman of his choice in 2012. Do you believe his 2009 lyrics were in reference to Kim Kardashian?
