TMZ has reported that despite rumors of Nicki Minaj being inches away from signing a deal with American Idol as a judge, the deal is actually far from set in stone. On top of that, they've received word that the newest confirmed judge, Mariah Carey, is highly upset with the decision that American Idol has made to pursuit Nicki Minaj as a judge.
When signing the contract, Mariah was under the impression that she would be the only female judge. Not to mention, she also feels as though a younger Nicki (29) would take away from her shine on the show, for Mariah is 42.
We'll see how they work together if it turns out that Nicki lands the spot.
