Nicki Minaj is almost done finalizing a deal to become a judge on American Idol, according to reports coming from Us Weekly. The sources behind these claims are unnamed and both representatives for Nicki Minaj and Fox have yet to release any official statements addressing the situation.
Aside from recruiting Nicki to join Mariah Carey for the upcoming season, American Idol is also trying to lock down deals with either Pharrell Williams or Nick Jonas. This upcoming season has the potential to bring in some major viewing numbers just based off of the star judges alone.
