On Monday night, NBA small forward and current free agent Matt Barnes was arrested in Manhattan Beach, California for an outstanding traffic warrant, a misdemeanor charge. But it was also reported that he allegedly resisted arrest, which goes down as a felony. It's said that he had some rather harsh remarks for the officer who cuffed him.

Sources say officers approached Barnes early Monday night and when they ran a check on the NBA star, it was discovered that he had a whopping $26,000 unpaid traffic warrant due to driving with a suspended license. He allegedly bad-mouthed the officers and made threats against them, which is why he was hit with a resisting arrest felony charge.

Barnes is being detained on $51,000 bail.
