It seems as though the process of blind auditions is what turned the show 'The Voice' into a ratings sensation. Just don't tell that to Snoop Dogg.
The hip-hop legend recently called out the show's blind process, claiming that it prevents the show from finding a true star. He says that it takes more than just singing talent to become a true star.
"You could have the best voice ever but be boring as hell," he explained. "I don't see it producing a One Direction or Susan Boyle."
"The American Idol and X-Factor Shows, they're great shows. But I think I need to make a show like that, directed straight to the hood."
Honestly, in a time when hip-hop just about reigns, why isn't there a top emcee, or top hip hop artist kind of show?
