The Indiana Pacers President and NBA Hall-of-Famer Larry Bird rarely ventures out into the spotlight and gives interviews, let alone speak out about his team. But after the Pacers' 32-point loss to the Miami Heat Tuesday night, it was enough to prompt Bird to call his squad "soft".

It was the worse playoff loss in the history of the franchise and about two hours after the game was over Bird stated, "I can't believe my team went soft. S-O-F-T. I'm disappointed. I never thought it would happen."

He didn't explain in-depth anything in particular about the way his team played but simply responded "That's all I have to say."

With the playoffs being a period in the season where Bird flourished as a former player, he feels his team needs to play with the same type of intensity.

The Pacers/Heat series will resume in Indiana for Game 6 later this week.
